Today’s slate of NFL games looked very tough given a bunch of large point spread and a lot of teams that really just confuse me (Raiders, Falcons, Rams). After breaking down some of the games I came up with two straight plays that I’m confident in for today, along with two parlays.
New England Patriots +1.5 vs. Los Angeles Chargers
The Patriots have been a team of many ups and downs this year. At times it has seem like a case of playing to the level of their competition, as they beat both the Cardinals and the Ravens, but then almost get upset for the Jets.
Despite holding a record of 5-6, the Patriots are still in the playoff hunt. And Bill Belichick will not be eliminated from playoff contention by a rookie quarterback. Of course Justin Herbert is great and will unanimously win ROY, but today I expect Bill Belichick to mess with his head with defensive schemes that confuse the rookie and force him into turnovers. This is a must win game for the Pats and they will prevail.
Pick: Patriots +1.5 (-110), ML +105
Detroit Lions +3.0 vs. Chicago Bears
It’s honestly a mystery how the bears could even be a favorite against anyone. Their offense is laughable and will continue to struggle today against the Lions. The Lions recently fired Head Coach Matt Patricia. You be can sure that they are going to come out with a lot of energy and motivation to win this one against a division rival.
The Lions will take advantage of an struggling Bears team today.
Pick: Lions +3.0 (-105)
Parlay One – Three Way +802
This is the original parlay I created and the one I am most confident in. These picks can also work as straight bets.
Cleveland Browns @ Tennessee Titans under 53 total points
New Orleans Saints -3 @ Atlanta Falcons
Arizona Cardinals ML +130 vs. Los Angeles Rams
Parlay 2 – Four Way +1148
I felt as thought this parlay was more of a stretch, but I liked the value so I decided to throw it in the mix for today.
Note: This parlay ends tomorrow night with the MNF game.
Tennessee Titans -4.5 vs Cleveland Browns
Los Vegas Raiders -7.5 vs. New York Jets
New York Giants @ Seattle Seahawks under 47 total points
Buffalo Bills +1 vs. San Francisco 49ers
