Buy The Book 8/7/2020

Happy Friday fellow gambers! Today we bring to you our third edition of Buy the Book Daily Picks.

Alex Jansen (1-1, 50%, -0.1u): Sacramento Kings -4.5 vs. Brooklyn Nets

Coming off a big win vs the Pelicans, the Kings get an easy one vs the Nets today. This is a much needed win for the Kings to get to the play-in-game so fully expect them to leave it all out there and win this one.

Ben Jansen (13-8, 61.9%, +3.9u): Colorado Rockies ML +105 vs. Seattle Mariners

The Rockies are sneaky hot this year, with a half game lead in the west at 9-3. While Coors Field gives the Rockies a big advantage, they are 4-1 away from home this year. Against a weak Mariners team that has only won two games this year against teams besides the LA Angels, the Rockies will have more talent at the plate and on the mound and should cruise to another victory here.

Dylan Kelly (0-2, 0%, -2.1u): San Antonio Spurs -9 vs. Utah Jazz

Today is the perfect time for the Spurs to make strides in moving up in the standings. In a real make or break game for the Spurs, they take on a Jazz team who is missing almost all of their key players. With Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert, and Mike Conley all out, this game should not be close for very long. I would be shocked if the Spurs didn’t win by 15+ today.

Ryan Kelly (1-0, 100%, +1u): New Orleans Pelicans -7.5 vs. Washington Wizards

Coming off a tough loss against the Kings, the Pelicans should know that this game is a very important one for them. They need a big win for their confidence and to keep pace with the cluster of teams fighting for the 8th and 9th seeds in the west. Look for the talented young Pelicans to be on their A game tonight against a weak wizards team.
