Class of 2021 3 Star Sean Durugordon Talks Recruitment

Sean Durugordon recently announced his plans to transfer from Canterbury School to national powerhouse, Putnam Science Academy, to complete his high school career. Standing 6’6″ with a 7 foot wingspan, he provides great versatility and can play 1-4.

Durugordon is currently a 3 star on rivals.com and just landed his 18th offer. Sean spoke on his recruitment saying, “All of the schools involved are pretty much recruiting me hard, to name a few, I’d say Georgia, UConn, VCU, St. Johns, Penn State, DePaul, Missouri and a couple others as well.” VCU, Penn State, and DePaul are the only ones in that group to offer but I fully expect those other schools to come soon with an offer. On the topic of new interest he says, “Missouri is a new school that is involved, we’ve been talking a lot lately, I’ve picked up some interest from Arizona State and Georgetown as well.”

With his recruitment heating up and the ongoing global pandemic, Sean says, “I actually virtually met with the staff at Missouri recently as well as Vermont and DePaul. I had a virtual visit with with Xavier and Old Dominion as well.” Although it is not your traditional recruiting style, given the current circumstances he says, “It was great.”

While going through the process he’s looking for somewhere he can fit the system. Also, he wants to find the fit where, “[He] has a great relationship with the staff and the head coach most importantly.”

He, “plans on narrowing down during the fall after open gyms” but also noted, “I would definitely like to visit the campus in person before I commit.” Whenever Durugordon decides on his commitment, there certainly won’t be a shortage of suitors.
